After announcing his departure from Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann future has been a subject of speculation but Atletico Madrid director Miguel Angel Gil Marin has seemingly ended the mystery surrounding Antoine Griezmann's next move by stating that the France striker will be playing in Barcelona. Griezmann announced at the end of the 2018-19 season that he was drawing the curtain on his five-year stay in the Spanish capital. While the Frenchman's exit announcement came as a shock to many, it wasn't a surprise for the top man in the Atleti offices. The France international is now expected to complete a big move to current Spanish champions Barcelona next season. But while Barcelona have long been mentioned as the team closest to clinching his signature, a potential move is still shrouded in doubt. The 28 year-old was recently linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain. When questioned about his next destination, Griezmann's has asked for patience on his future, as the 28-year-old hinted that a move away from Spain could be in the cards this summer. That seeming hesitation threatens to allow other teams to make their own approach, with Manchester United one of the teams reportedly interested in the player. But according to Gil Marin, there is only one feasible destination for Griezmann. "I am very certain where Antoine will play, we have known since March," the director explained to Movistar Plus' Toros on Wednesday. "It is in Barcelona."
