Countries who qualified for 2019 AFCON

    1. Egypt (Pharaohs) : Record holder of the most Champions of AFCON with 7 times & 24 appearances , the Host country & Runners-up of last version in 2017 , number 1 contender for the Cup.

    2. Algeria (Desert Warriors) : 18 appearances in AFCON & Champions in 1990 , with a powerful squad this time , they can win it.

    3. Madagascar (Barea) : For the first time ever they appear in the AFCON this year ,would they be a surprise ?

    4. Senegal (Lions of Teranga) : 15 appearances , Runners up in 2002 and huge international history and current superstars.

    5. Angola (Antelopes) : Big dreams , New ambitious , 6 appearances and 2 Quarter finals , Could they reach their first Semifinal?

    6. Ghana (Black Stars) : Men will be Men and Giants will be Giants , 4 times Champions , 22 appearances , Gigantic history in African Football , One of the main contenders to win it.

    7. Guinea-Bissau (Djurtus) : Their firstappearance was last version in 2017 but seems like they are not going to let it be the only , last time they didn’t qualify through group stages , we’ll see what they can do this time.

    8. Guinea (National Elephants) : Their golden age in the 1970s witnessed them lose the final of AFCON 1976 , can this time be a revival of the old times ?

    9. Burundi (Swallows) : Historical first time in AFCON , whatever happens they have already reached enough for now.

    10. Mali (The Eagles) : 10 appearances, Runner-up in 1972 , but everyone needs them to perform better than quarter finals , could it happen ?

    11. Benin (Squirrels) : Only 3 appearances since 2004 , never qualified the group stages , maybe it’s their turn.

    12. Cameroon (Lions) : Fearless Champions will try to defend their title , 5 times Champions , Super record in all football fields , top contenders to win it.

    13. Ivory Coast (Elephants) : 23 appearances, 2 times Champions ,Dreamy squad , could they reach the impossible 3rd time?

    14. DR Congo (Leopards) : In their golden days they were unstoppable, they were number 1 without a doubt ,but lately the 2 times champions haven’t achieved much.

    15. Kenya (Harambee) : 6 appearances never reached more than group stages , shouldn’t they do it this time ?

    16. South Africa (Bafana Bafana) : Since they started to compete in AFCON in 1996 they won it once and came runners up once , could it happen again ?

    17. Mauritania (Murabitun) : The qualified for the first time to achieve a record of five arab countries in one AFCON version.

    18. Morocco (Atlas Lions) : 17 appearances , Champions once , but this time is their time besides the Host they are number 1 contenders to win it.

    19. Namibia (Brave Warriors) : Only 3 appearances and 3 group stages with no qualification , could they try to achieve this time?

    20. Nigeria (Super Eagles) : History speaks of itself , 18 appearances , 3 times Champions , huge squad and huge history pushes them to be top contenders.

    21. Zimbabwe (Warriors) : 3 appearances and dreamy squad ,they must look for a new adventure.

    22. Uganda (Cranes) : 7 appearances and one time Runner-up , they have the chance this time to revive their historic 1978 glory.

    23. Tanzania (Taifa Stars) : Only ine appearance in 1980 , and waited 39 years to appear again , they must make it count this time.

    24. Tunisia (Carthage Eagles) : Champions once in 2004 with 18 appearances and a very talented generation ,They are top contenders to win it.
