It's very disappointing to see a World Cup without Italy, The Italy we knew under manager Antonio Conte in the 2016 euros is the same Italy we are seeing today, there are so many factors that has caused their poor WC qualifiers under current manager who's tactically poor, in terms of rotation, defensively he's bad.

Imagine Sweden side without star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, could force the defense of Italy and utilizing their chances.

Italy still have a chance of qualifying for the World Cup. All they have to do is to defeat Sweden in the second leg of qualifiers.

Suffering 1-0 loss in the first leg shows that a lot of things are wrong the Azzurris.

    History and sta
History and statistics shown thea Italy always find it tough to beat Sweden. In 1958, Italy failed to qualify for the wc in Sweden and today they are playing each other in Stockholm, Sweden.

  9. Coach Gian Piero Ventura has not really done much for the Azzurris since Antonio Conte left for Chelsea. But I won't deny the fact that the had a difficult draw. They were in the same group with Spain and in the play off with Sweden who has always been a hard nut to crack for them.

    Gian Piero
Ventura lacks balance in his team, to get best out of Marco Verratti, you allow him play his preferred position as the number 6 just like the way he Play for psg.

I agree with you @Cwayo He really need to bring out the best in those players. He should learn from his German counterpart. He way he brought in the young players in the confederations Cup and did wonders with them. Knowing how to use the materials in your disposal is very vital if you want to be a successful coach.

I wish tomorrow we could witness a beautiful game between Italy and Sweden at Giusseppe Mienzza stadium, Italy. Gian Piero Ventura has bring tactical balance into the Azzuris set up, ahead of WC QUALIFIERS play-offs.

  14. I see Italy recording a 2-0 victory over Sweden
